The old age issue of manure! We know it is really quite valuable stuff (if someone needs it) but disposing of it can be a nightmare, friendly farmers may not be so keen to remove as they used to be, and with lots of modern bedding materials may be more picky about what they will take away!

Make no mistake, horse manure IS useful to many people and lots of horticultural businesses are crying out for it, but that doesn't mean your muck heap is a gold mine!
Additionally, maintaining your muck heap in a way that 'could' make you money is time consuming and labour intensive, with multiple piles separated according to where they are in the breaking down process. This requirement for multiple piles also calls on you to have the space to manage such an operation.

As you will see in the image above, well rotted manure literally becomes compost full of nutrients. The process is laborious however:
'Well-rotted horse manure – this is packed with nutrients and retains moisture well. It's excellent for mulching around hungry plants like roses and edibles, especially pumpkins and squashes. Make sure it's been left to rot for at least two years, otherwise it can 'scorch' plant leaves and even remove nutrients from the soil as it breaks down' (Link Mulch Guide: What Is Mulch And How to Use It | BBC Gardeners World Magazine)
The reality is that most equestrians need their manure heap taken away on a regular basis and need a company who are willing to remove it ethically and sustainably. This is where we can help! With grab wagons that remove up to 16 tonnes and bulkers that remove 20 tonnes we can offer a speedy service, always leaving your dedicated manure zone clean and ready for the next pile to grow!
